【Abstract】 Based on the theory of multiple place consciousness or the place principle of environmental justice advanced by Val Plumwood,which,as a typical research on integrating environmental justice and place ethics,advocates the equality of all places,and the equal rights to existence on the part of all humans and species,this paper interprets Animal Dreams by the modern American novelist,Barbara Kingsolver.It analyses how the conception of the singular place is criticized became of its invasion of human rights and nature rights,and how the heroine Codi,in the process of the local environmental justice movement,gains the multiple place consciousness and a sense of place.更多还原
