Data in this table are provided by the Census and Statistics Department of
the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and |
| further
prepared and edited by the National Bureau of Statistics. Data of 1996 and
prior to it refer to the original Hong Kong. |

| ①The
chain volume measures of GDP and its components have been re-referenced by
2013. |
|
| ②Figures
are as at end of the financial year. Financial year is from 1 April to 31
March of the next year,unless otherwise specified. |
|
| ③Since
2005. all indices of industrial production are compiled based on the Hone
Kong Standard Industrial Classification (HSIC) Version 2.0. |
| ④Since
1998,new figures of container throughput are adopted,and therefore not
comparable with the previous years. |
|
| ⑤Figures
of 1996 and after include arrival of non-Macao residents via Macao. |
|
| ⑥Figures
of popultaion are involved in the process of compiling data. The data of
mid-year population since 2011 has been adjusted on the bas |
| of
the mid-year population in 2016. |
