Figures are compiled based on data collected in the General Household Survey
from January to December of the year concerned as well as |
| the
mid-year population estimates by District Council district compiled jointly
by the Census and Statistics Department and an inter- |
| departmental
Working Group on Population Distribution Projections. |

| Statistics
involve the use of the population figures in the compilation process. Annual
figures of 2007-2010 have been revised to take |
| into
account the results of the 2011 Population Census which provided a benchmark
for revising the population figures compiled since |
| the
2006 Population By-census. |
