above statistics are compiled based on the Hong Kong Standard Industrial
Classification (HSIC) Version 2.0. |

| The
Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) completed a technical revision
exercise in September 2012 to implement the new international |
|
| standards
given in the System of National Accounts 2008 (2008 SNA) in the GDP
compilation framework of Hong Kong. Opportunity was |
|
| taken
to incorporate new data sources and enhanced estimation methods in the GDP
system where applicable. As a result of these statistical |
|
| developments,
the historical series of GDP has been revised accordingly. |
|
| ①Accommodation
services cover hotels, guesthouses, boarding houses and other establishments
providing short term accommodation. |
|
| ②Statistical
discrepancy refers to the difference in values of GDP compiled using the
expenditure and production approaches, as a result of the |
| adoption
of different data sources and estimation methods. It is expressed as a
percentage to GDP at current market prices. |
