Since January 2011, the People's Bank of China adopts IMF's definition of
reserve money, which means deposits of other financial corporations |

the monetary authority are not included in reserve money. |

Since January 2011, deposits of overseas financial institutions in the
People's Bank are counted as foreign liabilities instead of deposits of other |
| depository corporations. |
