| This table is based on the township statistics.The number of households and total
population refer to the households and population of |
|
| townships in the rural areas.The population includes the registered permanent
residents of both farming and non-farming households,who |
|
| are members of the various economic co-operatives in the rural areas and receieve
payments(including cash and goods)from the |
|
| organizations.The population does not include those with registered collective
residence and working in State-run institutions,social groups, |
|
| schools and enterprises in the rural areas,nor state employees who are registered
permanent residents of the rural households but receieve |
|
| wages from the state. |
