1985 to 1989 were adjusted from cencus conducted in 1982 and 1990, data after
1990 were from sample survey of population |

changes, Data of 1995 are estimates of 1995 Beijing 1% Population
Sample Check. Data of 2000 are from quick estimate of Beijing 5th |
|
Census in 2000. Data of 2005 are estimates of 2005 Beijing 1%
Population Sample Check, and data in other years were from statistics on |
|
registered permanent population. |
|
b) In classification by rural and urban areas,the "urban
population" and "rural poplulation" in 1978 were those in the
household register statistics, |
|
data from 1990-1999 were adjusted from cencus conducted in 1990 and
2000, that in 2000 were on the basis of statistical classification of |
|
rural and urban population stated by the State Statistical Bureau, and
that after 2000 were estimated on such basis. |
